Building Construction Technology Expo 2024 Closed Succesfully
Building Construction Technology Expo 2024 (BCT Expo 2024), the Southeast Asian building and construction exhibition and conference, took place successfully in Bangkok, Thailand from 18th to 20th September 2024. BCT Expo 2024 was organised under the theme “The Construction Meeting Place” saw the participation of 150 exhibiting companies and brands from 16 countries, with over 3,879 industry visitors from 35 countries.
This three-day event presented a comprehensive range of machinery, equipment, tools, technology, materials and solutions across 10 AEC clusters ranging from earthmoving and demolition, lifting and handling, road construction, concrete and cement, materials, tools and equipment, digital construction, AI & robotics, construction services to smart facility management.
It was a hugely successful week for attendees to build their networks as this regional industry gathering provided the face-to-face bridge for international collaborations and networking, bringing together ideas, solutions, innovations and partnerships for the AEC sectors. Before the start of BCT Expo 2024, a special “International – Thai Construction Networking Cruise Night” along the Chao Phraya River was arranged to provide attendees with a unique river cruise networking experience that was very well received by both its local and international attendees.
Apart from the exhibition, BCT Expo 2024 also saw the conduct of a series of knowledge-rich conferences, where over 30 industry experts from various international and local organizations shared their insights on emerging trends, technologies and sustainability. Some of these conference topics included AI and robotics, the future of construction equipment, green construction transition, drone applications, BIM, and smart facility management.
Another key highlight of BCT Expo 2024 was its highly successful “business-matching programme”, which saw the conduct of over 520 pre-arranged business meetings between pre-qualified hosted buyers and exhibitors. This programme allowed exhibitors to pre-schedule one-to-one meetings with their targeted key buyers.
The success of BCT Expo 2024 is a testament to its records over the years, in facilitating growth for the AEC markets, not just in Thailand but also in the Southeast Asian region. This event provides a dynamic face-to-face platform for suppliers, trade visitors and buyers to network, exchange views, update on the latest trends, and forge new business deals and opportunities.
Mr. Andrea Bertelli, Area Manager of POGGI S.p.A from Italy said, “We supply silos for construction and reclaiming systems for water treatment. We are pleased with the new business connections that we made during BCT Expo. The business matching program was well-organised and we are indeed satisfied with the overall arrangements of BCT Expo.”
Mr. Kannapak Taweeyos, Business Development Manager of Channakorn Engineering Co., Ltd added, “We are into designing and construction of warehouses and factory buildings. This year marks our third year of participation at BCT Expo and the numbers and quality of attendees that we meet during the event make it a worthwhile marketing investment for us to continue to join BCT Expo.”
Next year’s BCT Expo 2025 will take place again in Bangkok, Thailand, from 3 to 5 September 2025 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre. BCT Expo 2025 will continue to serve as the Southeast Asian “Construction Meeting Place” focused on building networks for the construction sector with its exhibition showcase of the latest AEC and technology solutions, a series of informative conferences, technology skill certification workshops, safety training, business matching programme and networking activities.
