R+T Asia 2021 Opens With More Than 700 Exhibitors and Innovations in its First Post-Pandemic Show
The much-anticipated R+T Asia trade fair is set to take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 24 to 26 March 2021. The first physical show after the global pandemic outbreak, the 16th edition of R+T Asia will include new innovations that mark a significant turning point for the future of this trade fair.
A Turning Point for the Exhibition Industry
While other countries still struggle with trade fair postponements, exhibitions in China have returned to almost normal, thanks to efficient pandemic management and significant market growth since 2020. Industry companies are eager for a physical place to reveal their latest products, exchange knowledge, learn industry trends, and expand their network. The presence of over 700 exhibitors at R+T Asia 2021 in 68,000 square metres (the space of five halls) is a strong confirmation that the industry is determined and ready to get back on track.
The show will be co-located with HD+ Home Decoration Asia, DOMOTEX Asia CHINAfloor exhibition,BIC-International (Building Industrialization of Construction) Exhibition Asia, IPD, Cadex, and Workspace, which are all related to the building and construction industry. At R+T Asia 2021, visitors will meet the industry’s leading brands such as Yuma, Raex, Wistar, Xiangde, YFA, Baolong, Hande, Lucheng, Fastlink, Greenawn, A-OK, Deshelong, Wintom, and many more. Furthermore, R+T Asia will include hybrid formats that allow virtual visitors from anywhere in the world to experience the physical exhibition and to connect after the show.
Exhibition Innovations
Launched shortly before the show, the new R+T Asia website supports professionals in the sun shading and door/gate industries, offering more business opportunities and networking, free of issues related to travel. This is Asia’s first online meeting place for this industry, and it provides a year-long interactive showcase where R+T Asia exhibitors highlight their newest products and contact directly with professional buyers.
The first and second days of the exhibitions will see a new hybrid Matchmaking Event that allows selected exhibitors to meet internationally hosted buyers in over 100 pre-arranged video meetings. The virtual meetings will be held in a specially designed Matchmaking Area, attended by exhibitors in Shanghai and hosted buyers connected from anywhere in the world.
In addition, visitors unable to travel to Shanghai can try the new Virtual Booth Tours, which will offer a unique chance for a remote on-site experience, an overview of the industry and the latest product innovations. Virtual Booth Tours are recorded at the exhibitor booths in Shanghai and then streamed on R+T Asia’s official Twitter account on 24 and 25 March 2021, revealing the most interesting booths, companies, and products on display.
More than 20 lectures and conferences on-site will involve leading industry experts, industry associations, architects, and designers. Among the variety of topics, R+T Asia will cover the promotion of stable energy-efficient buildings by the shading industry. The show also features one of last year’s hottest topics: China Smart Home.
These topics will be discussed by Shanghai Pudong Intelligent Lighting Association; their presentation is themed as “2021 Intelligent Lighting & System Integration Development Forum.” The CSHIA (China Smart Home Industry Alliance) will discuss “Embrace Smart Change, Integrate Innovation — 2021 Smart Home Industry New Trend Summit.” The well-known ENOcean Alliance will promote the “2021 Smart Buildings and Home Application Tendency.” In addition, the show will also host numerous events for architects and designers.
Post-Show Innovations
For the first time, the most insightful presentations at the show will be shared online after the show. The post-show educational programming will continue also in the form of webinars with industry experts, providing valuable information for companies that want to enter the Chinese market and understand Chinese industry trends.
To address current travel concerns, in the weeks following the exhibition, R+T Asia will also offer Virtual Factory Tours, which are live videos streamed directly from exhibitors’ production plants.
